As part of Jumbo’s digital transformation, we embarked on a large-scale redesign to create a more consistent, intuitive, and scalable experience across all digital touchpoints. The goal: unify the website, app, self-service screens, and in-store interfaces under a cohesive digital identity while implementing a robust design system to enhance efficiency across teams.

The redesign of Jumbo.com and the app was a pivotal moment in the brand’s digital evolution. I played a leading role in shaping the new vision, ensuring alignment across design teams through presentations, workshops, and concept validation sessions. Beyond aesthetics, the redesign laid the foundation for a more structured and scalable approach to digital product development.


A key achievement was the creation and implementation of Kompas, Jumbo’s first design system. I was responsible for both its setup and adoption across the organization, ensuring that teams could work more efficiently while maintaining brand consistency. This transition empowered designers, developers, and business teams to collaborate seamlessly, reducing inconsistencies and increasing speed to market.


In addition to the website and app, I contributed to various in-store digital solutions, including hand scanner interfaces, pick-up point screens, and internal communication tools like Jumbo Radio. My role extended to facilitating design sprints, stakeholder alignment, and guiding teams in adopting a user-centered approach across all platforms.


Through this redesign and the design system rollout, we transformed Jumbo’s digital ecosystem into a scalable, efficient, and user-friendly experience—a standard that continues to guide all future developments.
